Morito Daimyojin Shinto Shrine

October 15, 2015

Yesterday after eating brunch at Prime Brunch, our sweet friend Stephanie showed us the Morito Daimyojin Shinto Shrine in Hayama, Japan.  It’s a beautiful shrine located on Morito beach, with lots of parking, a view over to the touristy part of Morito beach, and a stunning view out into Sagami Bay. On the outskirts of … More Morito Daimyojin Shinto Shrine

Kamakura Lantern Festival

August 11, 2014

This weekend we visited Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, in Kamakura. The Kamakura Bonbori- Matsuri Lanterns were hung up along the path to the largest shrine, and surrounding paths on the campus continuing the Bon Odori celebration. We enjoyed viewing the paintings and drawings that local artists made on the shoji (rice) paper. The Kamakura shops that … More Kamakura Lantern Festival

Proud of a kid who takes a lot of pride in his work. ❤️
Hohenzollern fall festival fun.
Love these sweet helpers. I’m lucky to have helpful children. ☘️
When you’re happy you still have one “little” who still loves things like the car wash. We brought home cookie dough that everyone loved. The little things. ❤️
My sweet son after lacrosse practice. ❤️
Anyone else watching the development of the new Chinese cryptocurrency as much as my oldest son? He plans on investing his spending money portion of his allowance in this new cryptocurrency. I opened my computer to find this open window on my computer. I’ve been skeptical of this currency ... I think he left this article open on my computer intentionally so I would read it. By the way, I was lucky to even get allowance as a kid and never thought to invest in something like this. My savings were kept in a glass jar or in a wallet hidden safely from my siblings. 😂 #modernparenting
Happy first day of 8th grade to our oldest. Thinking about him and hoping he has a wonderful day back, and a productive year. I enjoy my summers and time with my kids. First days back are always bittersweet for me. A huge thank you to all the wonderful teachers, support staff, fellow parents, and volunteers who teach, encourage, and work so hard to be an amazing community for my oldest son.
We had a wonderful time visiting my husband’s aunt Sam in Italy. So nice to have family in Europe. We miss you already Sam. ❤️
Souvenir shopping last night before we leave Pula, Croatia. C has decided that she wants to be a pirate for Halloween this year, G wanted a treasure chest for his summer collection of mementos, and my husband and I are thrilled my oldest bought himself a pirate hat with his allowance money and shows zero interest in buying another knife and doesn’t like girls yet. 🏴‍☠️🏖
