One of my favorite places to visit in Kanagawa prefecture with my children is Enoshima Aquarium. I love watching my kids as they press their faces against the glass to see various sea life. I enjoy laughing with them at the dolphin show. We often enjoy ice cream on the large open porch as we look out at Sagami Bay, Enoshima island, and views of surfers with Mt. Fuji in the background. Our visits at Enoshima Aquarium often end with our sons using their allowance money at the gift shop. If weather permits we usually stay and play at the beach located right outside the aquarium.
The Enoshima Aquarium is set along Enoshima Beach. Parking is easily located underneath the aquarium and shopping area. There are many restaurants located around the aquarium and along the drive to Enoshima. You can also access Enoshima Aquarium easily by taking the Enoshima train, and then walking a few minutes to the admission of the aquarium.
My family and I purchased a yearly membership to Enoshima Aquarium because we all enjoyed our visits so much.
