We saw Tokyo Tower today. Tokyo Tower opened in 1958, is 333 m high (it’s the world’s tallest self-supporting tower. Eifle Tower is 320m high.), it weighs 4,000 tons.
Views from the main observation level at 150 m.
I love seeing my kids look out at the world.
Standing on thick piece of glass that you can see all the way to the ground. It made me a bit nervous taking this photo.
Here J is looking down at the ground through a smaller piece of thick glass. It was funny to see each child’s reaction to looking down. C understandably wanted nothing to do with it!
There is a huge food court at the bottom of Tokyo Tower. G was so excited to find McDonalds, a rare treat. His happy meal came with a small train, very apropos in Japan.
My yummy meal. What are these cold, grayish noodles called?
After lunch we headed down to the Tower Aquarium on the main bottom floor. Our kids loved it. C had so much fun running from one fish to other fish, excitedly proclaiming, “fish, mamma, fish!” Too cute.
