Hello Chickadees. I can’t believe it is already 2014! We rang in the New Year around 3 PM yesterday with the kids by using pull fireworks in our backyard, drinking sparkling cider, eating the rest of C’s chocolate cake from her Baptism on Sunday, and watching a short Charlie Brown show. The kids loved the afternoon celebration, after all it was already 2014 in many parts of the world (yes, we shared this with our oldest who questioned why we were not waiting till midnight). My husband and I had a ranged a babysitter to attend our neighbors’ Battle of the Desserts. We rang in the New Years on east coast time, and were home a little after 9PM. Oh dear, we are getting old. We had a great time, but were awoke by a sweet boy awoken from fireworks around midnight. 🙂
Today, off to new adventures in 2014, we went to visit Experience Music Project in Seattle. Fabulous Family trip idea. We had a great time. Here are a few pictures from EMP and the Seattle Center area.
Delicious lunch at EMP’s cafe Pop:
Then we let our sons play in the Seattle Center Fountain. They had a great time.
Happy New Years from our family to yours. Be good to yourself and others in 2014!
