I’ve been working on some darling projects for our baby girl this week. We were practically quarantined for the school week with a stomach virus that spread through our home. Secluded together was nice. And as we observed our convalescent twenty-four hour symptom free time on Friday we worked on crafts, read some fun childrens’ books and ordered Pizza Hut pizza. All three were a huge hit in the house. Once my husband came home from work, I escaped to the nearest nail spa place to get a well deserved pedicure and manicure!
I worked to re-fabric our rocking chair in our baby’s nursery. I used the Melrose diamond fabric that we purchased to match our baby’s nursery set.
I’ve been working on this baby cardigan for baby C now for months. I forgot how to knit, how to follow a pattern, and I drastically over estimated how much free time I have. So far, on Friday when I got to finally three-fourths of the way done, I ran out of
thread, I should say yarn! Which gave me a great excuse to go to my favorite yarn shop, Main Street Yarn, and get some more. While searching Main Street Yarn’s website for their hours of operation, I found that they have their own blog. I needed just one more skien to finish C’s cardigan. I used restraint, and only bought one matching skien. My husband now knows its possible to leave the store only spending $10. He says I should take all three kids with me the each time I shop there. 😉
I’ve also started pre-shopping for swimwear for our upcoming trip to Hawaii! We are all so excited to travel to see our friends the Andersons and to see beautiful paradise. Here’s the swimsuit I’m eyeing, and at a discounted price today online.
